About

Hi, I’m Sam (Sexy, Achy, Moody) and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 25. I also battle IBS, anxiety, migraines, cluster headaches arthritis, hypoxemia, piriformis syndrome, PCOS and other issues associated with my chronic illness. This blog is dedicated to feeling sexy and having great sex despite the pain. There will be adult content here but I promise to keep it classy.

I wanted to create this blog to facilitate understanding and help women with chronic illness feel sexy again! Finding the time for romance is tricky between stress, exhaustion and the pain. That is time we could spend resting or trying to catch up on chores and errands but you can’t lose your sensuality. Touch is such an important part of a relationship. Sex doesn’t have to be scary and painful. Don’t let your chronic illness keep you from exploring your desires and experiencing pleasure.

When I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I could hardly get out of bed because I was in so much pain and I was having muscle spasms that made it look like I was having a seizure. It has been a long journey and I have learned a lot about my body and myself. I am off most prescriptions now and I try to manage with exercise and supplements. It is crucial that I minimize stress as much as possible and I try to eat healthy. Pizza is my guilty pleasure. I could not live without it. Anyway, when I started learning about my own illness, I started meeting women in similar situations. Many of them were having relationship issues, getting divorced, or at least dealing with a lot of tension at home. It was usually due to a lack of intimacy. These women are in so much pain and under so much pressure to keep up with the same lifestyle because they look fine. So, we push ourselves but then it is our romantic lives that suffer because we are too drained and in far too much pain to flaunt ourselves around in high heels and spandex.

That is why I created this blog, to find compromises, to educate lovers, to make being touched enjoyable again. I hope it helps you.

Have fun, be sexy!

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. As a fellow Fibromyalgia sufferer (as well as IBS, MCS, severe Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, high BP, severe spinal disc disease, Metabolic Syndrome and in remission from Diabetes. numerous surgeries and a whole lot more) I can well sympathise with your plight.
Life is not easy with debilitating ICI (invisible chronic illness), but making the best of what we can do, other than focusing on what we can’t, makes life so much more enjoyable. Good luck with your own blog.
